Job Description

The duties include but not limited to:

l Effectively communicate and interact with residents, family members, visitors and volunteers in a courteous and professional manner

l Prepare the monthly menu and review with residents periodically for individual diet needs and preferences

l Estimate daily or weekly needs of food and supplies and communicate needs to the manager

l Assist with purchasing, transportation and storage of food and supplies

l Ensure that all food is received, stored, and prepared according to company standards.

l Document temperatures of food prior to service, refrigeration and freezer

l Prepare and ensure snacks and beverages are available to residents at all times

l Prepare meals for residents and guests ensuring dietary needs are met

l Maintain kitchen and food storage and preparation areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition at all times.

l Adhere to Quality Enhancement standards and standard food safety practices.

l Prepare and present meals and food for special events, banquets, and theme meals

l Respond to resident or family member concerns and ensure appropriate action is taken and/or bring to the attention of the manager

l Operate and clean food production equipment and food preparation areas.

l Performs other related duties as required.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Work Location: In person
