We are seeking a passionate and skilled cook to join our dynamic kitchen team for Sunday and Monday shift 4am-12:00 noon at our St Johns airport location. MUST HAVE PR OR CITIZENSHIP. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting in the daily operations of our restaurant. As a cook, you will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining a high level of quality in all dishes served. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to an exceptional dining experience. This position also includes a qualified person in excellent customer service. Must be knowledgeable with the products we sell and manufacture, Spanish speaking a big asset! Position Tuesday - Saturday (closed Sunday/Monday) Prefer someone who drives and has resalable car.

Duties
:
Ensure all food handling and safety procedures are followed according to health regulations.
Prepare high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation to our MAMACITA specs and standards.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards.
Help manage kitchen operations during peak service times to ensure efficiency.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety practices.
Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to lead a team effectively.
Familiarity with various cooking styles and cuisines is preferred.
Experience in food handling and service, with an understanding of kitchen equipment operation.
A passion for culinary arts and commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
