Job Description

Willowbrae Academy Sunwood is looking to hire a full-time cook to prepare lunch and snacks for 137 children per day.

Overview

In this role you will need to prepare morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack each day following the recipes provided on a 4 week, rotating menu.

Responsibilities

Food preparation and cooking following set recipes and menus. Adapting meals for children with allergies or food restrictions. Delivering food to classrooms with the necessary bowls, cups, cutlery and serving spoons in time for their scheduled meals. Create ordering lists for management. Maintain and clean and hygienic working environment. Washing dishes and cookware after use. Follow Willowbrae Academy's Food Safety Plan. Complete required paperwork including fridge/freezer temperature checks and cleaning checklists.

Requirements

Valid Food Safe Level 1 Certificate (or equivalent) Valid First Aid Certificate Authorized to work in Canada Enjoys being around young children
