Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Cook. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality food in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent food handling skills, and a commitment to maintaining food safety standards. Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards Measure, portion, and prepare ingredients for daily kitchen operations Operate kitchen equipment such as stoves, woks, steamers, and food preparation tools Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet restaurant standards Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations Monitor food inventory levels and assist with receiving and storing supplies Follow proper food handling, storage, and hygiene procedures at all times Assist with menu preparation and daily kitchen setup and closing duties Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure timely food service Perform other related kitchen duties as required

Qualifications

Previous experience working as a cook or in a commercial kitchen is an asset Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic English communication skills to understand instructions and communicate with team members Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is an asset Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00 per hour
