Basha Bites, a rapidly growing Calgary-based eatery, is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Cook to join our team. We're dedicated to bringing the rich and vibrant flavors of the Middle East to our community, specializing in authentic dishes like our signature shawarmas wraps and plates. Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and assemble a variety of hot and cold Middle Eastern dishes, with a primary focus on traditional shawarmas wraps and plates. Operate and maintain specialized equipment, including shawarma grills/rotisseries and fryers. Chop and prepare fresh ingredients (meats, vegetables, garnishes) with strong knife skills. Ensure proper portion control and presentation of all food items. Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP/Food Safety certified is a plus). Maintain a clean and organized workstation and assist with cleaning equipment and prep areas. Engage with customers in a friendly and efficient manner, taking accurate orders and offering recommendations. Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth and fast-paced operations.

Qualifications:

Proven experience (2+ years) as a Cook with a strong emphasis on Middle Eastern cuisine and shawarma preparation is required. Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation principles. Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure. Strong knife skills and attention to detail. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Pay: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
