Peaked Pies in Burnaby Heights is looking for our newest Cook to join our team!

We have built a reputation for not only our pies, but our amazing team. Behind the scenes we work hard and have fun to ensure the highest quality pies are being made.

As a Peaked Pies Cook, you foster a friendly and collaborative environment, and thrive on organization and routine. You always take pride in yourself, your work, and your team. Previous experience working in large-batch cooking is a great asset!

You will cook standardized large-scale recipes in order to maintain adequate par levels.

Duties include, but are not limited, to:

-complete daily inventory of pies, sweets, and food prep to ensure adequate stock levels for the day

-create daily and weekly prep lists

-place and receive food orders based on anticipated demand

-make pie fillings, dough, and desserts according to standardized recipes

-actively uphold food safety standards

-abide by Peaked Pies cleaning standards

-clean, maintain, and monitor all kitchen equipment

-work in production as needed to stamp, fill, lid, and store pies for internal and wholesale use

-maintain accurate stock inventory of dry storage items, fresh food, and packaging supplies

You take pride in your work, accurately follow recipes, and prepare tasty visually appealing desserts. You are able to plan ahead and effectively communicate with management, supervisors and production to maximize productivity and minimize waste.

$19.00 per hour, plus tips
