The Role:



The role of a Conveyor Belt Splicer will be responsible for leading our junior technicians to perform service works at customer sites, which includes but is not limited to installation and vulcanization of conveyor belts, lagging of pulleys, installation of repair fasteners, and so on. You'll travel regularly to visit quarries, mines, and cement plants, and ensure that all our customers are up and running again as quickly and efficiently as possible. This role requires leadership skills and the ability to work away from the office/warehouse setting as a team with limited supervision.

Education/Qualifications:



Completion of secondary school General mechanical aptitude Minimum 2 years of experience in conveyor belt splicing or rubber lining. Experience working outdoors (cold, heat, noise) in a physically demanding role Ability to lift 60+ lbs. with the assistance of another person Strong work ethic, self-motivated, a go-getter

Detailed Skills and Duties


Responsibilities



Perform and assist with heavy-duty conveyor belt installation & vulcanization Perform Hot, Cold & mechanical Splicing Execute lagging of pulleys, installation of repair fasteners, and Rubber lining Set up, operate and tend machinery used for mixing, calendering, extruding, moulding and curing rubber materials or rubber products Layout and prepare rubber materials for assembly, Operate machines or equipment to cut, shape, splice, fit, and cement rubber materials to form rubber parts or finished rubber products. Ensure compliance with company and customer safety policies and procedures. Provided training and supervision for junior technicians Ensure safety compliance
