The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced
Controls Engineering Manager
to lead our talented team in designing and developing automation systems for industrial processing equipment.
You will play a key role in shaping the future of our controls strategy driving technical innovation, guiding system design and implementation, and developing a high-performing, engaged team.

What You'll Do
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of control engineers fostering collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence
Oversee full lifecycle controls projects: design, programming, testing, and commissioning
Develop and implement team goals, KPIs, and long-term strategies aligned with company growth
Manage project timelines, priorities, and resources to ensure successful delivery
Guide PLC and HMI design using
Allen-Bradley (CompactLogix, ControlLogix)
and
Beckhoff TwinCAT
platforms
Partner with business development and product teams to execute new product roadmaps
Drive continuous improvement standardizing processes, increasing efficiency, and enhancing code quality
Stay current on automation trends and technologies to keep Parmerit at the forefront of innovation
What You Bring
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Automation, or a related field
5+ years in a leadership or managerial role within industrial automation or manufacturing
Strong knowledge of control systems (PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, field devices)
Experience programming and troubleshooting robotics (Fanuc, Motoman, ABB, etc.)
Proven ability to manage complex projects balancing scope, quality, and deadlines
Excellent people leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of safety and compliance standards (NFPA 79, IEC 61131, ISO 13849, CSA, UL, CE)
Willingness to travel occasionally for installations and commissioning
