Summary: Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee and lead its accounting and financial functions. This position will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial operations, reporting, and compliance while contributing to strategic initiatives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.Key Responsibilities:xc2xb7 Oversee and manage all accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger processes.xc2xb7 Prepare comprehensive monthly financial reporting packages, including profit and loss statements, variance analyses, KPIs, scorecards, and value-creation metrics.xc2xb7 Lead and execute month-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate preliminary and final reporting.xc2xb7 Collaborate with external auditors and stakeholders to ensure compliance with US GAAP standards and other financial regulations.xc2xb7 Track and analyze gross margin performance, offering actionable insights to improve decision-making.xc2xb7 Oversee reconciling of general ledger accounts, balance sheet items, tax filings (e.g., HST), and other regulatory tasks.xc2xb7 Create and deliver executive-level management presentations, such as financial performance reports and scorecards, utilizing advanced tools like Excel and PowerPoint.xc2xb7 Provide analytical and reporting support to other departments, proactively addressing challenges and improving processes.Qualifications:xc2xb7 CPA designation strongly preferred, though other professional designations and equivalent experience will be considered.xc2xb7 Significant experience in financial reporting in a US GAAP environment, general ledger management, and inventory/cost accounting, especially in a manufacturing environment.xc2xb7 Demonstrated ability to produce high-caliber presentations for private equity stakeholders or senior executives.xc2xb7 Advanced Excel expertise with the ability to manage and analyze data from various ERP systems.xc2xb7 ERP software knowledge, with preference for Visual ERP (though other ERP experience will be considered).xc2xb7 Proven leadership skills, including experience supervising and mentoring accounting teams across different locations.xc2xb7 Strong organizational capabilities and proven ability to effectively prioritize in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.Why Join Us: This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to make a meaningful impact within our organization.
