Responsibilities
Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Controller will manage a broad scope of tasks, such as ensure the accuracy and propriety of all financial data and reports maintained and prepared for the properties/projects, tier entities, and investors. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee and ensure accuracy of property operations and budgeting
- Ensure the construction draws and financial reporting are done efficient and accurately
- Assists on new project due diligences and property acquisitions
- Manage and supervise a team of Assistant Controllers and Projects Accountants
- CPA designation
- 10+ years of strong knowledge of IFRS and real-estate accounting experience
- 2+ years of managing a senior team in the commercial real estate space
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, a strong work ethic and a collaborative approach
