:Due to exciting growth and expansion, our Niagara area client is hiring a Controller. Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, the Controller will play an integral part in establishing the fundamental best practices in accounting & finance, while assisting in laying the foundation for the next stage of the company\'s growth and strategy. The candidate will be a motivated self-starter, and one who seeks out answers to daily challenges and consistently strives for improvement in all facets of the department. In this role, you will have ample opportunity to define key processes and activities in a manner that is effective and efficient for the organization.The Controller will be responsible for leading and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department for both the company\'s Canadian and US operations. This role will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, overseeing the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures, mentoring and training team members, and identifying areas for process improvements.To be considered for the position of Controller, you must be a designated CPA with 5+ years of accounting experience. You should be managing the month end close and full cycle accounting in your current company where you manage a team. You should be a strong leader as the right candidate will manage staff in Canada and the US. The Controller is a go-getter with initiative who will "go beyond the #\'s" and is willing to dig in order to find the answers. You should also be comfortable working in a dynamic and fluid environment where you will be instrumental in implementing change and new processes.Requirements:

• CPA designation with 5+ years of accounting experience
• Oversee Canadian and US operations
• Manage Finance team
• Responsible for the month end close and oversees full cycle accounting with full oversight of A/P and A/R
• Prepare financial statements
• Cash flow management
• Financial analysis
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Ability to understand Canadian and US taxation laws
• Financial reporting in ASPE
