Responsibilities



Manage and oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management. Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting, and other relevant standards. Lead the preparation of accurate financial statements, reports, and analyses that support strategic decision-making. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and month-end/year-end closing processes with precision. Oversee internal controls related to financial processes and technical accounting procedures. Collaborate with external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial data. Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support organizational growth and sustainability initiatives. Utilize accounting software (Sage) Maintain a thorough understanding of nonprofit accounting principles and governmental accounting standards where applicable. Lead continuous improvement initiatives in financial reporting processes and implement best practices in account reconciliation and financial analysis. Manage payroll and benefits administration.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Controller or senior finance leader with extensive knowledge of accounting principles including GAAP, IFRS, and technical accounting standards. Strong familiarity with compliance requirements and regulatory reporting procedures. Demonstrated expertise in nonprofit accounting, governmental accounting, or public accounting environments is highly desirable. Proficiency with various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or equivalent financial management tools. Excellent skills in cash management, account reconciliation (including balance sheet reconciliation), budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Deep understanding of double-entry bookkeeping concepts--debits & credits--and general ledger reconciliation processes. Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly through written reports and presentations. Strong analytical skills combined with high attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed. Ability to speak, read and write English fluently. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and 365. Manage and ensure compliance with contractor management platforms. Pay: $95,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
