We are seeking an experienced accountant who excels in precision, strategic financial planning, and team collaboration. In this role, you will be pivotal in managing and optimizing all financial functions at All-West Crane and Rigging Ltd.
Roles & Responsibilities
Financial Operations: Responsible for full-cycle accounting, including invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, account reconciliations and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to policies on a timely basis.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop comprehensive budgets, track financial performance, and provide strategic financial forecasts to support decision-making.
Treasury Activities: Prepare an annual cash flow plan to be maintained weekly for review with management. Manage banking relationships related to day-to-day needs.
Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify areas for cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and process improvement.
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and legal requirements. Ensure required filings are current including GST, PST, EHT, and WCB.
Payroll: Oversee, and from time-to-time process Payroll.
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; a CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting and financial management, preferably in the construction industry or related sectors.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including budgeting, account analysis, and reconciliation.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Exceptional communication skills to convey complex financial information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
High degree of personal ethics, integrity and responsibility with an ability to deal with sensitive issues and safeguard privileged and confidential information.
Experience implementing controls and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including financial modeling.
