We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced

Controller

to join our growing electrical service contracting firm with $24 million in annual revenue. This individual will oversee our accounting operations, provide financial analysis and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline 10+ years of accounting experience Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles Highly proficient with accounting software Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software Previous experience in mergers and acquisitions preferred Prior experience with Sage and ADP

Essential Job Functions:

Oversees the operations of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll. Oversees training programs and identifies training needs. Provide financial analysis with recommendations to Regional Director and/or General Manager. Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk. Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards. Recommend benchmarks that will be used to measure the company's performance. Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management. Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations. Ability to assist other regions with Integration of enterprise solutions connected to the financial function. Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements. * Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
