Position Title: ControllerSalary & Benefits: $95,000-$120,000 plus 3 weeks vacation, comprehensive benefits coverage, RRSP Matching ProgramLocation: Ottawa, ONWork Model: OnsiteAdditional Notes:Our client is a prominent real estate corporation based in Kanata, Ontario, specializing in the development and management of commercial properties. With a portfolio encompassing over 30 buildings within the NCR they offer office, research and development, technology manufacturing, and retail business spaces for lease.We are currently seeking a Controller to join the finance team on a permanent basis. The Controller will oversee financial operations, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and internal policies. This role involves managing accounting records, coordinating annual budgets, monitoring cash flows, preparing financial statements, and collaborating across departments to maintain high standards of client service.The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting, along with a professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA). A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial position is expected, with extensive knowledge of accounting practices, financial principles, and concepts. Proficiency in Microsoft 365, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are essential. Experience with Yardi and Vena software, as well as knowledge of retail and commercial property leasing accounting principles, will be considered assets.What will make you stand out:
