Alloy Casting Industries Limited is a custom manufacturer of stainless and carbon steel castings predominately for use in the oil & gas, and energy generation sectors.

We currently are seeking a skilled individual to join our team.

Controller

What you will do:

Manage and supervise day to day operation of the accounting function, including: AP and AR, Payroll, Banking, Journal Entries, General Ledger analysis, etc. Act as backup to all of these in the event of illness or vacation.

Monitor USD / CAD exchange rate, update system rate monthly, manage sale of USD as required.

Prepare, maintain, and submit all statutory returns (HST, T4, EHT, WSIB, etc.) as required.

Prepare monthly financial statements, reports and analysis.

Prepare all information required from professional accounting firm for Year End Review and preparation of tax returns.

Provide required financial information to consultants for annual SRED claim.

Complete all Stats Can requests in a timely matter.

Develop, monitor, and maintain management information systems, and internal controls to ensure the integrity of all systems, processes and data in accordance with company policy and legislation.

Manage Human Resources including benefits and pension administration.

Participate in a variety of special projects as assigned.

What you will need:

Experience as a controller or equivalent, preferably in a manufacturing business environment

A professional accounting designation, CPA, is preferred.

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Extensive experience and knowledge of all aspects of management accounting and financial management.

Cost accounting

Thorough knowledge of all relevant Federal, Provincial and local requirements regarding financial records, taxes, payroll and the like.

Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple demands and changing priorities;

Excellent attention to detail
