Position Summary

The Controller will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day accounting operations and supporting strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will bring manufacturing industry experience and a strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory control, and ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementso Manage cost accounting functions, including BOM analysis and variance trackingo Reconcile inventory accounts and oversee physical inventory processeso Collaborate with operations to analyze production costs and identify efficiencieso Support external audits and tax preparationo Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal controlso Lead or support ERP implementation and improvements (e.g., Epicor, SAP, or similar)o Supervise junior accounting staff and support their developmento Produce adhoc reports as required

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)o 3+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environmento Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, and job costingo Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting software (e.g., Epicor, QuickBooks Enterprise, Sage)o High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independentlyo Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindseto Proficiency in French & English
