Lead the full Accounting Modernization Program, including project planning, execution, timelines, and stakeholder communication.
Redesign and implement a modern chart of accounts.
Configure financial systems in Yardi, including naming conventions, automation rules, workflow logic, and the implementation of new modules (e.g., Procure-to-Pay).
Modernize accounting processes across AP, AR, GL, reporting, and month-end close.
Strengthen internal controls and standardize policies and procedures.
Act as primary liaison across Residential, Commercial, Golf, Construction, and Corporate divisions, as well as external consultants.

Phase 2: Traditional Controller Responsibilities
Oversee timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
Lead accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and month-end close.
Maintain and improve internal controls, compliance, HST/payroll filings, and audit processes.
Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team.
Drive ongoing systems enhancements, automation, and workflow improvements.
Support budgeting, cost control, project accounting, and variance analysis.
Qualifications
------------------
CPA/CA required.
10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including supervisory or Controller-level experience.
Experience with ERP implementation or major process transformation (Yardi strongly preferred).
Strong technical accounting knowledge and control framework understanding.
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Comfortable in a complex, multi-entity corporate environment.

Pay Transparency
