Job Description
Enseri is searching for a Controller for a company located in Markham. As the Controller, you will play a critical role in overseeing their financial operations and ensuring the integrity of their financial data. This role is ideal for a seasoned finance professional with a strong background in accounting, leadership skills, and a track record of success. You will be responsible for managing a small team and contributing to the strategic financial direction of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial statements. Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets. Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategies. Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. Manage tax compliance and reporting. Prepare for and lead financial audits. Stay current with industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
CPA certification Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including supervisory or managerial roles. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in financial software and tools. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience in manufacturing industry is a plus.
