The company is seeking a highly motivated and self-directed "Controller" to oversee the financial operations. This role, based in London, ON, is key to the company's growth and will be responsible for the financial reporting, analysis, internal controls, and team leadership across both entities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all functions of the Accounting Department, including general ledger, AP/AR, inventory, and payroll.
Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of accounting staff, providing training and support as needed.
Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and accurate financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Ensure robust internal controls and maintain the confidentiality of financial information.
Conduct regular variance analyses (e.g., labor, spending, purchase price) and provide operational insights.
Oversee the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, collaborating with all departments.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting, cost control, and financial systems.
Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
