About the Role
As the Controller, you will support the Credit Union's Finance function by performing a variety of tasks including:
Overseeing all day-to-day accounting and financial functions
Performing financial analysis to aid in decision making
Preparing monthly, quarterly, and year end reports and financial statements
Overseeing internal control activities
Ensuring compliance with regulations and financial reporting standards
Assisting in the budgeting process
Liaising with external auditors, regulators, and senior management
Providing mentorship and guidance for junior finance department team members
Identifying and implementing efficiencies to improve financial and internal control processes
About the Candidate
The candidate should possess the following qualifications and abilities:
A CPA designation
A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role
Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and IFRS
Excellent communication, organizational and leadership abilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced with other financial systems, applications, and tools
Knowledge of Credit Union products and services is an asset

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
