The Role
We are hiring a Controller to join our accounting team. Reporting to the CFO, this role will oversee the day-to-day of our accounting world, leading the accounting team, and take ownership of core accounting functions. As a Controller, you will play a critical role in shaping and strengthening financial processes, mentoring the team, and ensuring that accounting operations support our long-term strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Level 2 accounting, including month-end and year-end close, working papers, and reconciliations
Manage GST/PST processing, filings, and payments
Oversee payroll and benefits administration
Supervise AP/AR payments and ensure smooth software integrations
Collaborate with the CFO to implement financial strategies and process improvements
Proactively identify issues, evaluate process impacts, and provide timely advice to management
Guide and mentor team members, supporting their growth and development

Qualifications you'll bring
CPA designation (or equivalent) preferred
5+ years in accounting leadership, ideally in corporate or multi-entity settings
Strong knowledge of Canadian GAAP, reconciliations, and compliance
Experience with payroll and inter-company transactions an asset
Demonstrated success in building or improving financial processes
