About the Role
Ownership and accountability for full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
Ensure timely preparation of monthly
and annual financial statements including related analysis, year end files, tax filings and regulatory reporting Supervise and mentor the internal finance team, including overseeing day-to-day operations and performance management
Prepare and monitor
annual and monthly operating expense budgets in collaboration with department leaders Oversee and process payroll in collaboration with the Human Resources Team to ensure accuracy
Monitor KPI's and provide timely insights and relevant reporting to Director of Finance with the goal of improving firm performance.
Prepare routine and ad-hoc reporting as required
to support decision-making or operational needs. Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance.
Responsibility for the implementation and continual enhancement of financial systems software and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Previous experience in a similar role
Knowledge of GAAP, ASPE, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Strong proficiency in
Microsoft Excel and financial modelling and data analysis/visualization (PowerBI experience preferred) Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building trusted relationships
A mindset of curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement
A passion for mentoring and developing others. You take pride in building high-performing teams and helping your team succeed
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
