Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards. This role will involve managing financial reporting, cash management, budgeting, and regulatory compliance, while also providing strategic insights to support the organization's financial health.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Monitor cash flow and budgeting. Monitor financial control systems. Maintain strong internal controls and financial policies. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable. Responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping. Administrative duties. T1 tax filing, CRA correspondence, and tax planning. Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Identify risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Monthly financial reporting. Stay up to date of industry trends. Collaborate with cross-functional teams. Foster a culture of independent research and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA designation is considered an asset. Proven experience as a controller or similar role. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and regulations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to be a self-starter. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks.

Pay: $120,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
