Position Summary:


We are seeking a dynamic

Controller

to lead our finance team. This role is critical in overseeing our comprehensive accounting operations, managing financial reporting across all business units, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. As Controller, you will play a key role in optimizing cash flow, minimizing credit risk, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will also provide leadership and support to the finance and administration departments (including contractors), driving operational efficiency and contributing to the overall success of the company. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and enjoys managing multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy and compliance.



Key Responsibilities:



Accounting Operations:

Manage the accounting operations for all business units, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Supervise journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, and statutory reporting while maintaining strong internal controls.

Cash Flow and Working Capital Management:

Take ownership of company cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning. Conduct customer credit reviews, manage AR limits, vendor payments, and authorizations, and ensure the timely and accurate administration of receivables and payables to optimize cash flow and working capital.

Financial Planning and Analysis:

Collaborate with executives to create and maintain budgets and forecasts, providing actionable financial insights and analytics to support strategic decision-making. Oversee budgets and expenditures related to cross-departmental support. Prepare and analyze financial statements and manage foreign exchange transactions.

Finance Leadership:

Lead, mentor, and manage the finance team, including remote team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational efficiency. Work with operations to improve processes that impact customer quality and internal efficiency. Ensure compliance with Quality, Health and Safety requirements, company policies, and ISO standards. Collaborate with the Administration Manager to streamline administrative processes and support other departments.

Compliance and Audit Coordination:

Manage compliance programs and coordinate audits with customers, government bodies, and financial institutions. Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and successful completion of audits.



Desired Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. CPA designation (or in progress) strongly preferred. 3-5+ years of experience in financial management or senior level accounting roles. Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines with accuracy.
