We're currently hiring a Controller for our Edmonton head office location. The Controller is a senior finance leader who plays a critical role in supporting the performance and growth of the All Weather Group. Reporting to the finance leadership team, this role oversees financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business support across our Customer Solution Centres and manufacturing operations.



This is a hands-on leadership position for a strategic thinker who thrives in a manufacturing environment, values accuracy and accountability, and enjoys partnering with operations to drive smarter decisions and continuous improvement.



There's more to any job than words on a page, however on any given day, the Controller is responsible to:


Lead financial reporting, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and monthly, quarterly, and annual results Own the annual budgeting and forecasting process using Vena, providing meaningful analysis and insights Support operational and strategic decision-making through performance analysis, cost management, and margin reporting Partner with manufacturing and inventory teams to analyze overhead, scrap, yield, and production efficiency Manage year-end close activities and coordinate with external auditors, including preparation of audited financial statements under ASPE Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards and regulatory requirements Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, systems, and reporting timelines Lead, develop, and mentor the accounting team while setting priorities and ensuring deadlines are met Support system enhancements and ERP-related initiatives from a finance and controls perspective

Education & Credentials




University degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field CPA designation preferred

Experience




Extensive experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, including cost accounting, inventory valuation, overhead management, and margin analysis Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Infor Syteline, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar); ERP implementation experience is an asset Strong working knowledge of FP&A tools such as Vena and advanced Excel capabilities

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights Proven ability to design, improve, and maintain financial processes and internal controls Effective business partner who collaborates across operations, manufacturing, and leadership teams Confident people leader with experience hiring, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accountable, with a commitment to accuracy and timeliness Clear communicator who can explain financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders

Work Environment




Hybrid mix of onsite/remote office-based professional environment with regular interaction across finance, operations, and senior leadership teams. Fast-paced setting with cyclical peak periods during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close. Manufacturing environment with exposure to plant operations, inventory processes, and operational performance drivers. Use of multiple financial systems and reporting tools in a deadline-driven environment.
