Our client, a leading managed services provider focused on delivering secure, reliable, and high-performing technology solutions for small and medium-sized businesses, is seeking an experienced Controller to join their team.

The Controller will oversee all aspects of financial management, including reporting, compliance, budgeting, and analysis, while supporting the company's continued growth processes. Working closely with the Managing Director, this role will provide strategic insights, ensure financial accuracy of reporting, and support strategic planning through data-driven analysis.

Key Responsibilities



Oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement. Conduct detailed financial analysis to monitor performance and provide insights to management. Monitor and manage cash flow to guarantee that the company has sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs and long-term objectives. Provide financial guidance to management and other Partners, offering insights and recommendations on budgeting, cost control, and strategic planning. Ensure consistency of business objectives through accurate forecasting of financial performance and opportunities. Ensure tax filings are accurate and submitted on time, maintaining compliance with all applicable tax regulations. Maintain compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets where needed and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Continuously assess and improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and support business growth. Manage and foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial software and systems, ensuring they meet the needs of the business and improve reporting accuracy. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience



5+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience. A post-secondary education or diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA designation would be an asset. Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail. Proficient in Excel. Experience using Dext is an asset. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online accounting software. Strong presentation, reporting, verbal, and written communication skills. Proven experience working both independently and with a team. Ability to prepare timely financial information. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent responsibilities. Growth mindset, with an ability to view problems from multiple perspectives. Experience working in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or technology services organization is considered an asset.
