Position Summary
Aquiform East is seeking a Controller to join our growing company. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, this is a key leadership role that combines strong financial expertise with hands-on management of accounting operations across a group of affiliated companies
The Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting, financial reporting, and internal control functions for a group of affiliated companies. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of consolidated financial statements, facilitates intercompany accounting, and ensures compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies. Additionally, you will play a strategic role in budgeting, audits, and financial planning, providing leadership with meaningful financial insights to support decision-making.

Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and coach a team of nine direct reports responsible for Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll.
Oversee full-cycle accounting and ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of financial processes.
Manage the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
Track and maintain support for vendor rebate programs, ensuring adjustments are accurately reflected.
Maintain a 13-week cash flow forecast, providing accurate projections of cash needs.
Resolve issues and proactively improve processes to enhance efficiency and prevent recurring problems.
Oversee cash management functions.
Play a key role in the annual budget process, collaborating with operations and executives.
Lead and support the year-end audit and tax filings.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented work environment.
Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
CPA Designation.
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Finance.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, SUMIF/IF statements).
Personable, approachable, and patient, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Self-starter with curiosity, motivation to learn, and willingness to share knowledge.
Previous experience in distribution or manufacturing is an asset.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics/NAV is an asset.
