Our Burlington client is poised for continued growth and has an immediate opportunity for a Controller to join their team! Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Controller will be responsible for financial management, reporting and analysis as well as budgeting and forecasting. This position requires an effective leader who will supervise and mentor a small team. This is an IN-OFFICE role, working collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for multiple entities
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision making
• Participate in the annual budget planning process
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
• Prepare monthly and quarterly HST filings
• Monitor cash flow, preparing forecasts and projections
• Provide effective leadership to the accounting team, fostering a collaborative work environment

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is preferred
• 5+ years of progressive experience preferably in the construction, real estate or property management industry
• Candidates must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are key for success in this position
• Proficiency in MS Excel and financial software systems is required
• This is an IN-OFFICE position working as part of a collaborative team
