Our client, a highly stable and reputable company based in Anjou, specializes in providing innovative solutions that optimize the manufacturing and transportation of products in a cost-effective and secure manner. They are currently seeking a skilled Controller to join their team and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of their accounting department. - Hybrid work model with 1 day in the office.Responsibilities:- Preparation and presentation of monthly financial statements to management, including the recording of adjusting entries and analysis of these statements to justify discrepancies.
- Liaising with external accountants (Canadian and American) for annual financial statement review and compilation engagements.
- Production of regulatory reports for Revenu Quxc3xa9bec and Canada Revenue Agency, such as GST/QST and payroll tax reports, as well as annual reports.
- Production of sales tax declarations in applicable U.S. states.
- Management of intercompany transactions.
- Performing bank reconciliations.
- Providing financial information to management and supervising an accounting clerk.
- Calculating payroll.
- Administering group insurance and contributions to the retirement plan (RRSP).Desired Profile:- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role or in an accounting firm.
- CPA designation required.
- Versatility and adaptability in a multi-software environment.
- Initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Strong Excel skills.
