Tiger Tool, a leading Canadian manufacturer of heavy-duty, specialty hand tools, is seeking an experienced and driven Controller to join our Abbotsford-based team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this is a hands-on, key leadership role responsible for overseeing our financial operations, supporting strategic decision-making, and strengthening the financial infrastructure of a growing manufacturing organization.
About the Role
As the Controller, you will oversee all financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and internal controls. You will work closely with the CFO and senior leadership to provide accurate financial insights that influence company direction. This role is ideal for a highly motivated accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys improving processes, systems, and financial visibility across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting functions, including AP, AR, payroll, cost accounting, and month-end/year-end reporting.
Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and management reports.
Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
Oversee internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Analyze manufacturing costs and inventory valuation to support operational decision-making.
Support the CFO and leadership team with financial modeling, data analysis, and strategic planning.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and financial accuracy.
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, and senior leadership.
Qualifications
5-10 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing.
CPA designation preferred (or working toward completion).
Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory, and financial analysis.
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
Highly motivated, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset.
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Experience with ERP systems; hands-on implementation experience is an asset.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools.

Pay: $95,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
