We are looking to hire a

Control Panel Estimator

based out of our

Calgary NE

Branch. The Control Panel Estimator is responsible for managing the estimating, planning, and execution of control panel projects from conception to completion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



Review customer specifications and drawings, prepare detailed quotations, develop bills of materials, and coordinate with engineering, procurement, and production teams, as required. Review bid packages, electrical schematics, and specifications to prepare competitive and accurate cost estimates. Prepare and maintain required project documentation: schedules, RFIs, ITPs, IFC drawings, QA-QC forms, FAT plans, as-built drawings, turnover packages, etc. Coordinate doc control tasks (FTP uploads/downloads, doc transmittals, traveler docs, turnover packages, etc.). Provide required info to doc control personnel to assist with effective and timely creation and control of such. Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to ensure design feasibility. Manage project schedules, budgets, and client communications, as well as problem-solving issues that arise during fabrication, testing, and delivery. Oversee project execution, tracking progress, and controlling costs throughout the project lifecycle. Serve as primary point of contact for customers, providing updates and addressing concerns. Ensure compliance with QMS, applicable codes, standards, and HSE regulations, polices and procedures. Coordinate material procurement and manage subcontractor relationships. Conduct project closeout, including documentation, final invoicing, and lessons learned review. All other duties as assigned.

Related University degree, college diploma, and/or trade certification and typically 5 or more years of cost estimation experience; or combination of formal education and experience. Experience in cost estimation and familiarity with bidding processes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Ability to think critically and use inductive reasoning. Strong attention to detail, knowledge of control panel components and assembly standards (such as CSA 22.2 No. 286 and UL 508A). Excellent organization and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced fabrication environment. Proactive communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, vendors and internal stakeholders. Proficiency in ensuring high quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and Microsoft Project.
