As a Contracts & Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Relationship Management within an assigned category, ensuring the supply plan is optimized across Irving Oil. Your goal will be to drive efficiency, enhance supplier collaboration, and implement sourcing strategies that support business objectives. Your success will be measured by streamlined procurement processes, impactful sourcing strategies, and strong supplier relationships.

Your Responsibilities:Develop and implement multi-year category sourcing strategies utilizing best practices to drive value and cost savings
Manage the strategic sourcing process, including RFx initiatives, proposal evaluations, negotiation strategies, contract negotiations, execution, and maintenance
Manage contracts and supplier relationships, including the development and implementation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Optimize the P2P process for efficiency and compliance
Collaborate with stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business objectives
Negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and mitigate risks
Monitor and resolve supplier performance issues in partnership with business stakeholders
Understand legal concepts as they pertain to proposals, contracting and executing on existing contracts

Your Experience:University Degree in Business or related field of study
Minimum 5-7 years' experience within contracts and procurement roles
Experience in Commodity, Retail, Construction or Maintenance procurement would be an asset
