$85,000 - $95,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

Position Summary



The Contracts and Pricing Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of pricing strategy, contract management, and competitive bids (RFPs, RFQs, tenders, and proposals). This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and profitability by managing contracts, tenders, and customer pricing while also leading the proposal process for new business opportunities. The manager will work cross-functionally to ensure optimal contract execution, competitive submissions, and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities and Duties



Contract and Pricing Management



Source contract and tender opportunities from multiple platforms. Review contracts and prepare submission, extension, or renewal paperwork as required. Prepare and review tenders, quotes, and supporting documentation. Ensure contract notifications, requirements, and deadlines are met. Provide accurate pricing quotes for customers and prospects. Manage pricing tables, contract updates, rebates, and related documents. Determine optimal pricing strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets. Communicate with Bid Committees, sales teams, and stakeholders to ensure timely execution of contracts. Oversee post-contract activities including award meetings, debriefs, and follow-up.

Bid & Proposal Management



Lead the end-to-end RFP/RFQ and proposal process, from opportunity evaluation through to submission and post-award handoff. Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders (sales, finance, legal, operations, SMEs) to gather inputs for high-quality submissions. Develop and maintain a centralized proposal content library to ensure consistency and compliance. Facilitate proposal kickoff meetings, set timelines, and manage deliverables to meet deadlines. Conduct win/loss reviews and provide feedback to improve future bids. Ensure submissions meet compliance, legal, and client requirements.

Commercial Oversight



Collaborate with Purchasing, Finance, and Marketing to align pricing and contracts with organizational goals. Support completion of bids and tenders, including special request quotes and RFX submissions. Manage and monitor backlog and open orders with the operations team.

Collaboration and Performance



Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless contract execution and order fulfillment. Support complaint resolution and corrective actions related to pricing or contractual terms. Provide reporting and insights to leadership on pricing performance, bid outcomes, and contract results.

Process and Continuous Improvement



Identify process bottlenecks in contracts, pricing, or proposal development and recommend improvements for efficiency and compliance. Maintain strong vendor and client relationships while supporting organizational profitability. Train, evaluate, and support team members as required. Provide supervisory and management oversight to assigned staff, including coaching, workload distribution, and performance management. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the CEO.

Education



High school diploma or equivalent required; college or university diploma preferred. Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, or a related field strongly preferred.

Experience



5+ years leading contract management, pricing, and competitive quote/proposal activities (RFPs, RFQs, bids, tenders) within a competitive sales environment. Experience in logistics, inventory management, customer service, or sales. Industry experience in distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or regulated industries. Proven ability to lead teams, mentor staff, and drive results.

Skills and Competencies



Strong knowledge of contract management and pricing best practices. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint; pivot tables required). Familiarity with DDI and Hubspot considered an asset. Experience with proposal management tools (Loopio, RFPIO, Qvidian) an asset. Strong analytical, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in proposal writing and persuasive storytelling. Strong organizational and project management abilities with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Detail-oriented with the ability to ensure compliance and accuracy.
