What's the Job?Job Title: Contract Thermal OperatorPay Rate: $43-47 per hourLocation: Bolney Thermal Facilities, near Lloydminster regionContract Duration: 6 monthsWork Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off; rotating 12-hour shifts (days/nights), including weekends and statutory holidays:We are seeking a dedicated Contract Thermal Operator for our Thermal facilities. The role involves operating and maintaining equipment for water treating, high-pressure steam generation, sour oil wells, and oil treating facilities. You will ensure safe and efficient operations while meeting production targets.Responsibilities:

  • Operate the facility safely and effectively
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment
  • Perform condition monitoring, sampling, and testing
  • Complete operations records (e.g., log sheets, work permits)
  • Support maintenance activities and contractors
  • Train and assist new employees
  • Comply with HS&E requirements and company standards
Qualifications:
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Minimum 3rd Class Power Engineering certificate (2nd Class preferred)
  • 3+ years' experience in steam generation, oil processing, and related systems
  • Proficiency with computers (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SAP)
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
Additional Information:
  • Overtime paid at 2x hourly rate (T4)
  • Travel allowance: $0.70/km (max 75km/day) plus travel time over 30 minutes one way
  • Travel required: 25% of the time
