The Ottawa Pastoral Counselling Centre (OPC), a Community Ministry of the Anglican Diocese of Ottawa, has been offering counselling and psychotherapy services throughout the wider Ottawa community for over 50 years. We are currently seeking to hire one Registered Psychotherapist to join our team as a contract overflow therapist. The Centre uses a hybrid model to deliver its services, with an emphasis on in-person sessions. The OPC offices are in downtown Ottawa in the Bronson Centre.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Master's degree in counselling psychology or equivalent.
Certified to practice psychotherapy with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), or an equivalent Regulatory College.
Experience working with a variety of clinical issues and a range of treatment approaches.
2+ years experience of direct client psychotherapy as an RP (excluding practicums & course work).
Ability to offer family and/or couples counselling, in addition to individual counselling.
The candidate must agree to provide a police vulnerable sector check.
The successful candidate would ideally possess:
Excellent case conceptualization skills.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in offering telehealth therapy services.
ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) or equivalent.
