Vista Virtual School (VVS)

is now accepting applications for Contract Marker position. The courses covered will be Senior High English Language Arts. Only those with a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate need apply. This position is a work from home opportunity.



VVS is a public, Alberta Education-accredited distance education school, based in Calgary. VVS offers grades 1-12 programming to Alberta school-aged students, adult learners and international students. VVS also partners with schools to provide cost-effective instruction to their students through Education Services Agreements.

Qualifications:

Must hold a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate Understanding of the Alberta School Curriculum Understanding of the use of technology in instruction Flexibility and adaptability to new challenges associated with distance learning Ability to work as part of a team Proven experience as an effective classroom or online teacher English or Social diploma marking experience is an asset

Contract Requirements

Evaluation of student assignments, providing constructive feedback and comments, and contacting students Communication with students and staff via telephone, internet and email Required to use own equipment including high speed internet service and computer equipment Required to adhere to specific performance expectations
Will work off-site
