- Masters or PhD in Sociology
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to facilitate adult learning.
- Demonstrated excellent planning, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
University Studies
The University Studies Department requires a qualified Sociology instructor to teach sections of either a junior and/or senior level sociology course (Introduction to Sociology, Inequality and Social Stratification, Sociology of Gender Roles, Sociology of Sports). In addition to providing 3 hours of instruction weekly, the successful candidate will be required to maintain accurate records of student grades and attendance, provide advising, and be available for consultation by appointments.
