We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Instructor to join our Learning Inclusion Support Worker Certificate team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective instructional sessions to adult students, fostering a positive learning environment, and promoting skill development. This role requires strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to accurately assess student performance.
Each course taught is a separate contract for the length of the course. Must be available to teach between 9am and 3:30 pm.
Responsibilities
Deliver instructional content in a clear and engaging manner, utilizing various teaching techniques and resources.
Assess student performance through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports.
Communicate effectively with students and program manager regarding academic performance and classroom activities.
Stay current with inclusive education best practices and participate in professional development opportunities.
Requirements
Education Assistant Diploma or similar at a minimum
Previous teaching or instructional experience is highly desirable.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in using technology for instructional purposes (e.g., learning management systems).
Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that respects diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
Proficiency in using Microsoft products (including Microsoft Teams)
Minimum of 5 years' experience in public school learning inclusive support work or equivalent.
