Spoke Resources Ltd. is a diverse energy company based out of Calgary offering exposure to conventional upstream oil and natural gas production operations. Spoke has an immediate opening for a Field Operator reporting to the Foreman. This is a contract; full time position-based south of Grande Prairie. Applicant must reside in camp well on shift and ideally live within 2 hours of Grande Prairie.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure field operations follow health, safety and environmental policies and procedures; participate in safety and environmental inspections at facilities and wells. Perform day-to-day production related activities for area and properties; identify optimization techniques to increase production and/or reduce downtime; coordinate day-to-day operation and upkeep of facilities, roads, and pipelines; monitor wells and modify daily route based on downtime, production, and risk factors. Follow facility and well site maintenance programs. Identify field maintenance needs with the Lead Operator; coordinate and provide input on downhole issues, workovers. Input key field data into production reporting system in line with operational requirements. Hands on Maintenance on Compressors, Generators and pumps. Maintain pipe line integrity through a steady pigging program. Monitor Scada and respond to call outs on down production as required.
Qualifications:

Gas Processing Courses, Technical diploma, or journeyman certificate in a related discipline would be looked at favorably. Valid Class 5 driver's license, Ability to operate an ATV safely. Preference given to Minimum of 4 years of oil field operating experience. Experience with Gas well operations including Recip compression, and a good understanding of process would be an asset. Related experience will be looked at in good candidates. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, can work independently and follow direction. Positive team player. Safety conscious. Working knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of SCADA based control systems, Prod Man, Muddy Boots would be an asset. Required to maintain all safety and regulatory courses First Aid, H2S, WHIMIS, TDG, Confined Space, and ATV training. Pre-employment drug screening and drivers abstract will be required.
