:In order to ensure your application is received by NAIT for thorough review and consideration, please apply directly through our Careers site atWorking within the Business and Productivity Portfolio, contract Facilitators will deliver training courses and programs to open enrolment, international student programming, and corporate training clients.Daytime weekday instructors are being recruited to teach in the following subject areas:

  • Leadership, Coaching, Supervisory Skills, and Leading Others
  • Facilitation, Collaboration, & Communication
  • Self-Development, Time Management and Organizational Skills & Tools
  • Business Planning & Strategic Planning
Instructors must have full day, weekday daytime availability (every day of the week availability is not required, however).The successful candidates will possess extensive experience and subject matter expertise relating to the program content noted above. Ideally candidates will have taught courses and workshops previously and have an active learning focus as part of their course delivery capabilities.Courses are delivered during the daytime, either on campus, at client sites within Alberta, or online.NOTE: In your submission, please be sure to specify:

  • Delivery mode preferences if any (online, on-site, campus)
  • Flexibility/willingness to travel across Alberta to teach on client sites
  • Your general weekly availability in days
Contract Instruction Deliverables:
  • Provide direct instruction utilizing appropriate instructional strategies to maximize student motivation and learning in a skill-building environment
  • Utilize appropriate education technology for communications and presentations, including LMS systems (Moodle & Brightspace) & MS Teams.
  • Maintain professional ethical relationships with students and colleagues; respond professionally to student issues and concerns; submit marks/records promptly.
Qualifications:
  • A related undergraduate degree plus 10 years or more of direct significant experience in the related field. A graduate degree is preferred along with related experience.
  • Experienced with the training and facilitation of adult learners in a face-to-face and online environment using a variety of engagement techniques
  • A NAIT Training and Instructional Development (formerly Becoming a Master Instructor Certificate) would be a definite asset.
  • Skilled in MS Office and collaboration tools.
