Position Overview



We are seeking a part-time Contract Bookkeeper to manage weekly reconciliations, month-end close activities, and financial reporting for Case Mogul. This role is offered at a fixed monthly rate. Hours are not disclosed but are expected to reflect a part-time workload (10-15hrs/wk).

The position is primarily remote, with some in-person on-site meetings approximately once every 1-2 weeks.

This is an ongoing contract role.

Key Responsibilities



The duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

Accounts Payable Ongoing weekly cash reconciliations for store cash sales. Reconciliation of Moneris settlements against weekly recorded sales. Reconciliation and recording of lottery sales (where applicable). Recording and categorization of all operating and business expenses. Month-end bank and credit card reconciliations. Preparation and filing of GST returns. Preparation of monthly financial statements and summary reports for management. Year-end support, including preparing year-end working papers and coordinating with external accountants.

Qualifications and Skills



Required



Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Solid understanding of bookkeeping, reconciliations, and month-end processes. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet recurring weekly and month-end deadlines. Professional communication skills and comfort working with both management and store teams.

Preferred



Familiarity with Moneris payment systems. Experience with retail, sales-based, or multi-location business bookkeeping. Prior experience reconciling cash-heavy environments is an asset.

Contract Terms and Compensation



Fixed monthly fee (to be determined based on experience). Part-time, ongoing contract. Primarily remote work, with in-person meetings approximately every 1-2 weeks. Flexible work hours, provided deadlines are met.
