Job Description

a+LiNK Architecture Inc. is a London, Ontario based architectural firm established in 1998 providing design services for the institutional, corporate, community-based, and heritage sectors. We are located in downtown London and serve southwestern Ontario.

We are a growing firm, now seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as Contract Administrator / Senior Architectural Technologist. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, eager to learn, participate and contribute their expertise to the success of our projects from tender through construction.

Qualifications include:



Graduate of a Canadian accredited school in architecture / construction / project management related programs (ie. Architectural Technology, Architecture, Engineering, etc.)

Minimum 10 years' work experience

in an architectural firm, in Canada Strong technical skills and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in AutoCAD / BIM software, Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite Fluency in English Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle Excellent written/oral communication skills with decision-making capabilities Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on multiple projects at a given time Desire to be collaborative as part of our team Understanding of contract documents, construction materials, Ontario Building Code and safety regulations

Duties include:



Coordinate and undertake routine site reviews and inspections of construction for various projects, to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications Prepare for and attend regular construction meetings with clients and contractors on per project basis, including preparation of meeting minutes Contract administration duties through construction, including but not limited to, construction oversight, quality control, preparation of site visit reports and contract administration documentation, progress evaluation and payment approval recommendations to issue payment certificates Coordination with other disciplines including engineers, consultants, and contractors Prepare and coordinate architectural drawings as needed Willingness to travel Establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff, contractors, and Authorities having Jurisdiction Participate in professional development to maintain knowledge and current construction practices and protocols
