Job Title:Contract Administrator
Duration:12 - 15+ months
Work type:Onsite
Pay Rate$25 - $30.00 CAD an hour + Applicable per day per diem
1.0 Description of position and specific skills required:
Contract Administrator, as per Resource Classification and Description of your contract.
The need requires and requests an individual that can support the contracts department at client location for the next 2 years to support the backlog and high demand for contracts that need to be executed over the next 2 years.
2.0 Scope of work to be performed:
As part of the Contracts Team this position will be reporting to the Supervisor of the Contracts Department at the Client location the Contract
Administrator will be responsible for:
i. Performing contract administration functions throughout the contract lifecycle,
ii. Advising team members and contract owners with respect to contract related matters, and
iii. Tracking a portfolio of contracts to ensure timely planning of procurement and contract administration activities for the Client Location.
iv. Drafting of RFP's to be ready for review and acceptance.
v. Performing Change Orders to existing contracts.
3.0 Preference will be given to candidates with:

  • University degree in Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible work experience in contract design, contract management, procurement, contract administration for large scale projects and experience with the following:
  • Commercial contract negotiation and dispute resolution.
  • Preparing briefing notes and analyzing data to provide reporting for management and key stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of New Brunswick Acts and regulations relating to procurement of goods and services and knowledge of standard procurement methods and tools would be considered an asset.
  • Document creation and editing experience using MS Office Products such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel and working knowledge of SharePoint

  • Skilled in coaching of co-workers and contractors, negotiation, mediation of disputes or differences of opinion and conflict resolution.
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently or in a team environment and provide leadership, support, direction, and consultation to a wide range of people.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives with strong organizational skills to meet project deadlines.
  • Willing to travel, participate in activities, network and build relationships.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to organize, analyze and report on various parameters and data sets.
  • Ability to learn to use new tools and adapt existing tools to the task at hand.
  • Ability to communicate in both English and French would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to proactively detect challenges to safety, quality, cost and schedule that will ensure development and execution of effective prevention, mitigation, or corrective actions
