Our Human-Centered Design team is looking for a self-driven, talented Content Designer to work with and guide the customer experience and digital team on initiatives for our mobile and web products and deliver highly effective, innovative and evidence-based solutions. Collaborating with Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Design you will identify the right problems to solve and be accountable for writing, developing, and optimizing content for a range of digital channels, ensuring it is clear, engaging, creative, thoughtful, and accessible.

Already a highly-skilled and experienced content creator and copywriter, you take pride in the simple, eloquently crafted content you produce, and bring an energy to help others reach the same standards.

Your strong desire to ensure quality, usability, and consistency for Manulife\xe2\x80\x99s wide range of audiences will reach across external-facing digital channels, to include web content, app content, and email marketing content.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Strategy and Planning

\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop content strategies aligned with business goals and target audience needs.

\xc2\xb7 Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and best practices.

\xc2\xb7 Define content objectives, key messages, and personas to guide content creation.

Content Creation:

\xc2\xb7 Develop creative and engaging content across various channels, including websites, social media, email campaigns, blogs, and more.

\xc2\xb7 Write compelling copy that effectively communicates brand messaging, product features, and benefits.

\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with graphic designers, videographers, and other team members to create visually appealing and multimedia-rich content.

\xc2\xb7 Ensure all content is accurate, consistent, and adheres to brand guidelines and voice.

Content Optimization and Management

\xc2\xb7 Conduct content audits to assess the effectiveness of existing content and make recommendations for improvement.

\xc2\xb7 Optimize content for SEO and implement keyword strategies to increase organic traffic and improve search engine rankings.

\xc2\xb7 Monitor content performance using analytics tools and leverage insights to drive continuous improvement.

\xc2\xb7 Manage content calendars, deadlines, and publishing schedules to ensure timely delivery of high-quality content.

Collaboration and Communication

\xc2\xb7 Work closely with marketing, design, and development teams to ensure content aligns with overall marketing campaigns and website design.

\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather information and insights for content creation.

\xc2\xb7 Provide guidance and support to internal teams regarding content best practices, tone of voice, and messaging.

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

\xc2\xb7 Proven experience as a Content Designer, Content Writer, or similar role.

\xc2\xb7 Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a strong command of grammar, syntax, and style.

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated ability to create engaging and persuasive content for various digital platforms.

\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and familiarity with SEO principles.

\xc2\xb7 Strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles and ability to create content that enhances the user journey.

\xc2\xb7 Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in using analytics tools to measure content performance and make data-driven decisions.

\xc2\xb7 Experience with graphic design software and multimedia content creation is a plus!

\xc2\xb7 Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location Toronto, Ontario

Salary range is expected to be between $68,775.00 CAD - $114,625.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
