Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service, ensuring that freight is delivered on time and in excellent condition.

Duties

Operate trucks to transport freight to various destinations while following all safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition. Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklifts and other heavy equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and cargo details as required by regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Perform minor automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck as needed to ensure optimal performance.

Skills

Proficient in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Experience with forklift operation for loading and unloading freight. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation is a plus. Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and regulations. Basic automotive repair skills to address minor vehicle issues on the road. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
