Diamond Head Consulting, an award-winning environmental consulting firm based in Vancouver, is seeking an

Arborist

to join our team. The

Arborist

would support the ongoing development, administration, and improvement of Diamond Head's Arboriculture Department services, and support office and field staff working on a variety of inventory and development related projects.

We are currently working on large tree inventories, and the Arborist/urban forester will play a key role in help complete these projects and initiatives successfully.

Day-to-day tasks include:

Tree inventories-Identifying and assessing onsite tree species, measuring and recording tree attributes (e.g., DBH, condition) Attend Site Supervisions for development-related projects Writing reports and memos for clients based on supervision observations Downloading and utilizing maps using ArcGIS Field Maps deployed on iPads to locate trees Responding to public inquiries in the field Conforming to and documenting safe working practice
Candidates must have:

ISA Certification or working towards certification ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification or working towards certification
The ideal candidate will have experience with:

AutoCAD ArcGIS Microsoft Office Suite
We are looking for a proactive and collaborative team member, with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. The ability to independently problem-solve is essential.

This is a Full-time position starting when we find the right candidate. The starting wage range is $25 to $45, depending on experience.
