Reporting to the Director of Consultation; the successful candidate will be required to coordinate and deliver the Traditional Land Use segment of the Consultation Program for Sucker Creek First Nation (SCFN) in a manner that is both consistent with the strategic objectives of the Sucker Creek First Nation and reflects the cultural values, traditions and customs of SCFN Members-.
DUTIES:
Manage Consultation Office, equipment, fleet vehicles, and coordination of Site Assessments.
Complete in-house mapping with Elders of SCFN.
Review, respond, and report to all project applications, Oil & Gas, Forestry, AB Transportation, etc., within the Consultation timelines.
Analyze and report to the Government of Alberta, Industry, SCFN Leadership, and Consultation Director of the consultation process and/or issues that arise.
Help prepare reports/statistics for the use of the department, SCFN, and Elders of SCFN
Develop, maintain, and manage the department's filing, mapping, and database system including financial records.
Process cheque, invoice, and purchase order requisitions
QUALIFICATIONS:
Certificate in Office or Business Administration and/or minimum of grade 12
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Consultation Process/Issues
Ability to work well with other agencies, both internally and externally,
Must have knowledge in Microsoft Office and its applications
Knowledge in financial duties
Excellent and effective decision-making skills, assessment skills, and organizational skills
Possess presentation, public relations, oral and written skills along with interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge of First Nations culture and traditions is an asset
Must provide a criminal record check (CPIC) and Child Welfare Information System check (CWIS)

Must possess a valid driver's license and submit drivers abstract (before the interview)
