Position SummaryWe are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist or a General Practitioner with a special interest in Mental Health, Addictions, and/or Sleep Medicine to join our growing clinical team. This role is ideal for those interested in working within a collaborative, high-impact environment focused on innovation and holistic patient care.Applicants will contribute to outpatient and/or residential care based on interest and experience. Both Canadian and internationally trained physicians are welcome.Eligibility for GPs with Special InterestGeneral Practitioners with experience or a demonstrated special interest in Mental Health, Addictions, or Sleep Medicine are encouraged to apply. We offer opportunities to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, contribute to patient-centered treatment pathways, and participate in innovative, holistic care delivery across outpatient and residential settings.Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychiatric assessments and treatment planning
  • Provide follow-up psychiatric care including medication management
  • Participate in interdisciplinary case reviews and care planning
  • Option to contribute to program development, education, or supervision 2
  • Involvement in outpatient and/or residential care based on interest and availability
Qualifications
  • Applicants must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA). Specific registration and certification requirements will depend on the applicant's background (e.g., psychiatry or general practice).
  • Specialty training in Psychiatry from a recognized jurisdiction (e.g., UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, South Africa)
  • Eligibility or certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or currently in ST6 training.
  • Membership or eligibility with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
  • Experience or interest in trauma, addictions, and treatment-resistant psychiatric care
  • Legal entitlement to work in Canada (or willingness to pursue this with support)
Licensing Support & Accelerated Pathway (*Optional)Envision Mind Care is committed to supporting qualified international psychiatrists through the launched by CPSA. This pathway provides a fast-tracked licensing process for physicians trained in jurisdictions with comparable medical education and practice standards.We offer:
  • Guidance through the CPSA registration and ARP application process
  • Support in preparing documentation for CPSA and RCPSC review

Compensation & Work EnvironmentThis is a fee-for-service position with a revenue split to cover clinic overhead and administrative support. Envision provides:
  • EMR, billing, and scheduling systems
  • Full-time reception and administrative support
  • Furnished, professionally equipped clinical spaces
