It is an exciting time to be part of Recovery Alberta as we advance the Alberta Recovery Model and a recovery-oriented approach to addiction and mental health. Recovery Alberta is seeking a new member to join its innovative team. This position is responsible for varied work of an advanced nature and complexity. Reporting to the interim Executive Director, the successful incumbent will provide subject matter expertise in creating and delivering training events to enhance clinical competency and practice compliance with existing and emerging legislation aimed at ensuring quality care for persons with addiction and mental health needs. This position requires advanced skill in developing academic storyboards and training resources that highlight the most current evidence-informed practice standards for assessing and treating primary addiction and concurrent disorders and a strong understanding of adult learning principles to engage learners and facilitate knowledge transfer. The incumbent will hold specialized clinical knowledge and experience in legislative requirements of the Mental Health Services Protection Act, Mental Health Services Protection Regulation, and the Mental Health Act. Emerging priority work will focus on training resources to ensure compliance with the Compassionate Intervention Act (Bill 53) and the Mental Health Services Protection Amendment Act (formerly Bill 37). This position is provincial in scope. Key stakeholders include operational leaders, clinical supervisors, educators, and various interdisciplinary team members.
